Why so? Linux is great for education especially.


There's not a lot of education suppliers for linux. Most teachers aren't techies, so you need a good support network.

On a philosophical level, I abundantly agree that a FOSS system should be in education - which other areas of general education do we train our kids in using Company X's stuff?
