Anyone has example projects using this?

There are some Astropy tutorials that use Astroquery: http://learn.astropy.org/tutorials.html?q=filterTutorials+fi...

A number of the example notebooks here use Astroquery: https://github.com/spacetelescope/notebooks

LightKurve (https://docs.lightkurve.org/) uses Astroquery internally.

The docs has plenty of example for usage: https://astroquery.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

It is also heavily used in Solar System projects to access asteroid and satellite info. Some tutorial notebooks are here (that rely on astroquery under the hood): https://github.com/NASA-Planetary-Science/sbpy-tutorial

pretty sure most things you will come across will be academic or governmental in nature.

But can look through https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=astr...

a lot of which is the adsabs harvard project.
